About Us
The Humane Society of Aurora (HSA) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization (47-3361286) and is 100% volunteer run.
The mission of the Humane Society of Aurora & The Fox Valley protects animals in the Fox Valley region through education and advocacy by:
• Assisting regional animal rescues and animal control agencies
• Providing resources for pet owners in need of assistance
• Supporting and educating the public regarding responsible pet ownership
The Humane Society of Aurora was established in 2015, and since then we have worked tirelessly to improve outcomes for the animals in Aurora and the Fox Valley area and to help low-income families in the community by providing food or veterinary care for their pets. HSA /FV has provided financial assistance to provide medical care to animals of families in the Fox Valley area, rescues and shelters that have needed more than the normal everyday veterinary care. We have also assisted in providing training and other resources to help with the new pet’s transition from shelter to home.
The Humane Society of Aurora is comprised completely of volunteers and we rely 100% on donations.
